4 Week Sugar Detox Meal Plan & Recipes
After I sugar crashed myself today, I figured a sugar detox protocol is just what's needed this week on the blog.
So I woke up this morning feeling so tired (and inflamed). I went surfing, my wetsuit was uncomfortably tight, I could have fallen asleep on my surfboard lol, and then I got home and passed out for about 20 minutes...
...woke up in a panic thinking "oh crap I slept through surfing!" and then remembered that I had already surfed and it was 9am, not 5am.
Long story short, I was unusually tired and delusional.
Pieced two things together:
- I ate way too much sugar yesterday (including a bag of Churro chips by the Site brand - they're so good and it's too easy to eat the whole bag)
- I haven't been drinking enough water
- Ok maybe 3 is staying up too late watching Suits, oops
After dragging my butt and feeling a little irritated all day, plus struggling to surf, it was a good reminder not to go overboard with sugar.
I did, however, get an awesome pump at the gym 😅
