Embracing the Power of a 'YES!'

As we stand on the cusp of a new year, I invite you to consider the power of 'yes' in shaping your own destiny.

I'm back from a magical two weeks in El Salvador and am reflecting on where life has taken me the past couple of years. Out of LA, the end of a marriage, growing out of my 'shyness', meeting so many new people, traveling alone, and more...

And I'm here to encourage you to ride the wave of life by saying YES!

In life, we often find ourselves at crossroads, presented with opportunities that have the potential to reshape our destinies. It's easy to let fear and uncertainty hold us back, but sometimes, all it takes is a single 'yes' to open the door to a world of possibilities.

My current journey began with a simple decision to say 'yes' to a surf lesson—a decision that has since changed my entire life.

Two years ago, I found myself standing at the edge of the unknown, contemplating whether to embrace the opportunity to try something completely new (and scary). The idea of a surf lesson came to me as I was about to leave California to travel throughout Canada. "I should probably finally try surfing after ten years of living in Cali" I thought. And despite the fear, I decided to take the plunge. Little did I know that this single 'yes' would become the catalyst for a series of transformative events.

Fast forward to today, and I find myself in awe of the incredible journey that unfolded from that pivotal moment. Saying 'yes' to that surf lesson not only introduced me to the thrill of riding waves but also opened up doors to new friendships, communities, and experiences that span the globe (literally).

One of the most remarkable aspects of this journey is the community I've become a part of. Through surfing, I've connected with like-minded individuals who share not only a passion for the sport but also a zest for life. Together, we've explored coastlines and shared the joy of conquering the waves. This newfound community has become a source of support, encouragement, and lasting friendships that extend beyond the shores.

Beyond the physical benefits of surfing, it has ignited a flame of passion within me. Discovering this exhilarating sport has given me renewed passion and a constant source of inspiration...

...it's a reminder that life is meant to be lived fully, with enthusiasm and a willingness to step outside our comfort zones.

The journey hasn't been without its challenges, but each obstacle served as an opportunity for growth. Learning to navigate the waves mirrored the process of facing life's uncertainties. It taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of embracing challenges as stepping stones towards personal development... while enjoying the process of learning.
